We came across this place by accident as we were travelling through the Black Forest. The lady working there was very kind and explained us the dishes in English. First we were served a salad and then for main we chose steak and schnitzel. Both were great. Really pleasant outside seating area

Very good restaurant with typical German dishes. Friendly staff (although might have been a bit understaffed) and good price. If you are looking for a cosy place to eat a bite, I can recommend this place. Terrace is on the street, but it is calm in the evening.

Fantastic place to eat local food in Hornberg!! It’s a cozy family owned restaurant and they are super nice people, who want to give a great experience to their guests. Service was quick and friendly, food was delicious. I was really impressed by the section in menu ‘For not so hungry guests’ which is a good way to avoid food wastage. Highly recommended!! Keep in mind they are usually fully booked, so reserve a table in advance.

What a great place to eat! Very friendly and welcoming staff who made an exeption for us and our wet dog to sit in the 'nicer' part of the restaurant. The food was so rich of flavour and very fresh. Our compliments to everyone who works here!

Cozy Schwarzwälder inn in a pretty "Städtle". The Tannhauser is lovingly and gently restored as pictures of past days document. Really nice food but overall perhaps not the very lightest on the belly. Delicious side dish salad, so fresh and tasty - compliments to the kitchen! The menu offers mainly meat dishes but there are fish and vegetarian dishes too). Very friendly relaxed and welcoming service.

Had lunch on a Saturday, it felt the type of place where locals go to have comfort food. The staff were extremely nice and kind, the food was delicious; we ordered the traditional linsen and schnitzel, some of the best we’ve had, even the french fries were outstanding!
